Instead, this is for the people who are just getting into the homebrewing craze after hearing about the Nintendo shut down and used a super outdated Youtube guide on how to install Haxchi/CBHC, or for people who left the homebrewing scene like 3-4 years ago and are only coming back after seeing the announcement. Maybe it is if you want to hear about some weird and semi-obscure CFWs but besides that you probably already have Tiramisu so this is no use to you. If you have even the slightest bit of knowledge about today's homebrew lineup, then shoo! This isn't for you. Just like Haxchi, Potatohax also doesn't need an SD card inserted to work.Īnd if you do want to read the article (thank you btw), its down there: Introduction: Legacy stuff like the 2nd web exploit (I believe the first one got patched in 5.5.1 or 5.5.2)/ indexiine, CBHC, and Haxchi all still work (though the 2nd online exploit are on a ticking timebomb which goes off the moment Nintendo shuts down their web servers), BluUbomb is pretty much your only option if you screwed up your Wii U so bad that you can't access the internet anymore, and Potatohax has a sick name and is basically a free regular Haxchi (it can't cold-boot) that's a mix of 40% tiramisu and 60% original Haxchi. It's pretty cool but like all things in life, it has some downsides. TL DR: Tiramisu (9/10 doctors recommend this exploit) is a better (and free) CBHC which means you no longer need a DS game in order to cold-boot homebrew. But do note that this TL DR WILL NOT give you an informed view on pretty much anything, so you better not ask any questions that would be answered if you read the gosh darn PSA. This is here for those people wanting a TL DR in the comments. THIS POST WILL BE UPDATED TO INCLUDE AROMA.
